The 2024 IFMA Greater Seattle Chapter Expo & State of the Union will be held on June 11, 2024, at the Mercer Island Community and Event Center! There will be fabulous speakers and presentations discussing topics such as project planning, project execution, project wrap-up and hand-off, an experts panel, and more! Speaker Information:

Cody Crawford
Director of Facilities and Operations at Vale Group (Formerly Vulcan Inc.)

 

Cody Crawford is the Director of Facilities and Operations at Vale Group (Formerly Vulcan Inc.)., where he has led comprehensive facility management and operational strategies in all aspects of Facilities Management for a diverse portfolio of commercial properties since 2008. He has over 20 years of education and experience in facilities management and construction,.

At Vale Group, Cody was the Owner’s Representative in the development of multiple new headquarter facilities.  He also implemented a new CMMS system, and improved energy efficiency across the corporate property portfolio. His leadership in managing system security operations and developing a central document management library has streamlined processes and enhanced efficiency.

Before joining Vale Group, Cody was a Facility Management Senior Associate at Amgen Inc., where he managed facilities construction projects and maintenance, including overseeing a GMP manufacturing facility. He was a key player in the Business Continuity plan development and managed multiple vendors and contracts.  He began his career as a Project Engineer at Paras General Contractors, co-managing multimillion-dollar commercial construction projects.

Cody holds a Bachelor of Science in Facility Management and Technology Studies from Colorado State University-Pueblo and is a Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) and Real Property Administrator (RPA).

Lee Ann Skipton
Facilities Manager
City of Kirkland

Lee Ann serves as the Facilities Manager for the City of Kirkland, where she oversees maintenance and operation of municipal buildings and manages the City's real estate portfolio. Before her public sector role, she spent 16 years at Starbucks Coffee Co, managing global projects and initiatives in real estate, construction, and facilities.

Passionate about environmental sustainability, Lee Ann has championed water and energy conservation projects across the private and public sectors. She is also committed to education, inspiring the next generation of Facilities Management professionals, and promoting sustainable building practices.

Emma Parks
Project Manager
Westlake Consulting Group

Emma Parks is an experienced construction and project management professional with over eight years of diverse industry experience. Currently, she is a project manager at Westlake Consulting Group, managing a wide range of projects and scopes including shell and core development, life science tenant improvements (TIs), and office TIs. Her expertise lies in navigating the intricacies of each project phase and understanding the dynamic needs of project stakeholders.

Prior to Westlake Emma spent six years at BNBuilders, a leading commercial general contractor based in Seattle, where she was involved with several large-scale ground-up projects and historic renovations. She studied Construction Management at the University of Washington and recently completed UW’s Certificate in Commercial Real Estate.

With a solid foundation in both ground-up construction and tenant improvement projects, she brings a comprehensive understanding of facilities management needs over various project phases and types, ensuring efficient and effective project delivery tailored to the specific requirements of each facility and end user.
