The Real Estate
Competency Course
August 20 and 21, 2010
8:00 am - 4:30 pm
City of Renton Facilities
To manage the company's real estate as an
asset you need to
understand real estate principles and practices. Learn how to
plan the acquisition, development and disposal processes;
understand how to develop, implement and maintain the real
estate master plan; evaluate and recommend actions on options
and alternatives to the master plan; and evaluate and recommend
actions on development decisions.
Fellow Seattle IFMA chapter member, Scott Graebke, Facility
Supervisor at Avtech Corporation said this about his
participation in the recent Finance sessions with instructor Jon
Martens:
"That was a great class. I was not aware that Jon would be
the
instructor, but it was a pleasant surprise. I was inspired by
his talk
at the annual IFMA Seattle Education Symposium in Lynnwood this
year. I felt
like he has an acetylene torch for making fire while I am still
banging
rocks together. These training events are helping me to upgrade
to a lighter."
